friggin taxis
i had the worset morning ever with taxis, i stood in the cold for 30 min waiting for a stupid taxi to pick me up..i swear four empty taxi refused to stop, the fifth was too blind to see that 3 people are standing by the circle, waving thier arms really hard at him to notice us...he was searching for people bas he was too stupid to notice us, finally a taxi stopped, i asked to take me to wadi-saqra, and he refused, "walak my ears are hard as card board and my nose is bloody red, a 5 min traffic wont harm you you donkey" ofcourse i said that to myslef, and i just left the taxi, i know i have the right not to leave, but really didnt want to grow any angrier cause if i did i would probably raped him...ok after that i stood for another 10 min. and i finally found and empty taxi, that saw me and stopped and is willing to go to wadi-saqra but as soon i was about to hop in...he open his mouth and said i didnt stop for you, i stopped for the other girl....and i pointed in a rude way to the girl to get in, she freak out i can have a very scary face when im angry :s...at this point i was angry and decided just to go with the flow just to see how far this can get and blog about the friggin taxi we have in jordan, i gave up the spot i was standing at and decided to walk all the way to work, and after another10 min. a taxi stopped and accepted to take me to wadi-saqra, half way in the taxi i rememebered that i only have a whole 5 JDs, i asked the cabi if he had any change for it..to make the story short i managed to change the 5 JDs, when i reached my destination, the taxi meter reading was 1.05 JD's, usually when you are charged for that amount, a JD and 5 piasters and you dont have the 5 piasters the driver charges only a JD, but i gave him 2 JDs cause i really wanted to see how far and rude taxi drivers can be, and i was right not only he took the secound JD, he gave me back 80 piasters, which mean he charged me 15 piasters extra, i really wantd to box him in the face actually box every taxi driver in the face....one day when i have my own vehicle and im planning to get a bulldozer, i will run over every and each single taxi that crosses my way.

HAAHAH, I know how it feels and I'm sure your promises will come true when you get your car LoL.

Hahaha manal , ur anger z even more obvious n the written story :),,
i had a an awful day with taxis one summer day n 2006 & I DO HATE them since that day,,,my car was in maintenance so i had to pick a taxi,, it was almost the same story as yours n the begging except that u were freezing of cold while i was burning bcos of summer mid-day sun ,,& just after some1 had finally decided 2 stop ,i was shocked that he stopped again 4 the girl standing next 2 me , & what's more shocking was that she let her self in without any hesitation ,,,i was speechless 4 some moments thinking m32ool that's the recent accustomed taxi rules,that this z just so 3adi & i'm the one who's surprised cos i haven't been using taxies since a while ...i was so angry & feeling a bit insecure , so i asked him wht's going on,i said eno i picked a taxi & not a "sarveec" , & surprisingly enough he started 2 shout eno y ppl r getting so selfish & having no consideration 2 others, he said she was burning under the sun waiting 4 an empty taxi just like u , & f she z fe 6areee2k sho m2ather 3aliki , & again i was so speechless bs told him eno the taxi z a taxi , otherwise label ur car as " sarvees" so ppl will consider such a thing! .... & then the most outrageous behavior was when he decided to get her home b4 me bcos she z the 1st on the way , @ that moment i went out of my mind cos i was really afraid & not feeling safe plus i got n 1st, so i just asked him so angrily to drop me & i gave him 50% of the charge since it was a sharing ride , but imagine how rude he became shouting & shouting asking 4 the full charge,,i honestly felt embarrassed as if i'm the rude mean person & so again & again i felt so shocked & so speechless & i gave him 1 or 2JD & left without even asking 4 the change ,,& the most ridiculous thing was that girl attitude,6ol el wa2t zay k2no ma da5alha o ba3dain btet2afaf bcos she stood 2 minuets outside when we were arguing abt the charge!!!!!!!!!
it was like a real nightmare, i left & walked all the way to my home n that summer day(that's almost half an hour walking) swearing that i'll never ever ride a taxi again!
i wish f i had the taxi name so u can list it as the 1st on ur bulldozer list ;)

*hugs* i know how u feel! Im so glad to be back in canada with my own car and not at the mercy of taxi drivers! in the last month i was in amman i hired a taxi driver...i paid him more but i didnt have to wait forever for a taxi...
sam sometimes i think of doing the same...but when u hire them they are tottaly robbing u...fa i dont at all

I know exactly what you mean..
I never can say I hate anything in this whole world as much as I hate taxi drivers..
and Hiring a Taxi isnt really a good choice Either.. they think they can be friends with you..and you would end spending more money.. calling them and more time waiting for them !!!
